Ladies Aid Society
Ladies Aid was established in 1899 as the Ladies Auxiliary for the Creede Community Church. The mission of Ladies Aid is to help provide assistance to an individual, family, or organization in need in our community. Ladies Aid is an all-volunteer organization whose membership is open to all of the women in our community. We meet the first Thursday of the month from September through May at the Creede Community Church from 10 am to 2 pm. For more information, see Ladies Aid (pdf). Youth and Family Ministry
We are intentionally trying to embrace the young families, youth, and church of our future with Vacation Bible School, field trips, and recreational ministry. See our Christian Education page.
Mission Outreach/Helping Hands
Plans and implements mission projects of the church. This includes oversite of the mission budget and providing hands-on opportunities to do mission work locally and beyond. Habitat for Humanity
Our local Habitat for Humanity chapter meets at our church on the first Tuesday of the month at 5pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. CCC has provided leadership and been actively involved in regional and local Habitat for Humanity projects. We are excited that a home is currently scheduled to be built in Creede beginning this spring/summer.
Church Board
The Board consists of all members of the standing church committees. We meet monthly to review finances and current projects, receive reports, and approve plans for the future.
Trustees
The Trustees have oversite of budget and financial matters, stewardship, and maintenance of the physical plant.
Deacons
Oversees Church worship and the care of those who attend.Deacons also meet with applicants for membership.
Christian Education
The Board oversees Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, adult Christian education, and youth. Sunday school takes place year round during the worship time. Bible and topical studies meet weekly. Youth meet regularly during the school year for events, field trips and service work.
House Committee
In concert with the Trustees, provides hands-on opportunities for maintenance of the church facility and parsonage. On occasion we reach out to do community projects, such as clean-up and minor repairs. The committee also has oversite of the monthly potluck lunches at the church.
